Javier Trigales
Javier Trigales is a film and TV scriptwriter. He has worked for production companies such as Globomedia, La Dalia Films, Bambú Producciones, Lanzadera Films and Eye Slice Pictures.
After working on programs such as ‘Brigada Policial’, ‘El Intermedio’ and ‘I know what you did’, he moved on to fiction and was co-writer of VIEJOS, a feature film selected in the official section of the Fantasia Festival in Montreal, Fantastic Fest in Austin and Sitge International Festival among many others. He is now working on the script for the next feature film by filmmaker Velasco Broca. He is also the screenwriter of short films such as ‘Eco’, ‘El Semblante’ and ‘Caraoscura’, selected and awarded at many national and international festivals.
He is a professor of scriptwriting and audiovisual analysis for the CESUGA University, the Educa tu Mirada film school, the SGAE among many others.
He works as a curator and programmer of festivals, shows and cycles, and was programming director of the 2019 Cineuropa International Festival.
As a journalist he writes for media such as Icon El País, Luzes, Espinof, CaninoMag, Transit Cine, Diario Público… and as a collaborator, he has published a dozen books with Cátedra, Rosebud, Almuzara, Arkadin, T&B, Applehead, Shangrila… He is part of the Galician Audiovisual Academy and the Association of Cinematographic Informants of Spain (AICE).
